Quick easy breakfast that tastes delicious! My friend gave me this idea and I am so glad she did! It was so delicious! I was trying to think of different breakfast recipes to make for Rosie May because most mornings I have eggs and veggies. This French toast recipe is so easy to make that I’m definitely going to add this to my routine. Hope you all enjoy this recipe as much as I do!!
Ingredients:
4 pieces of Gluten Free French toast bread, I use the Schar brand.
2 eggs
⅓ cup of unsweetened dairy free milk, I use coconut milk for this recipe.
1 tbsp cinnamon
⅓ cup sugar
1 tbsp dairy free butter, I use Earth Balance for this recipe. I am also a big fan of the country crock dairy free butter.
Directions:
In a small bowl combine the eggs and dairy free milk. Whisk until mixed well.
Cut 4 pieces of gluten free French toast bread into sticks.
Dip the French toast sticks in the egg mixture and make sure the bread is evenly coated. Do this for all of the French toast sticks.
Place in the air fryer. Air fry for 350 F for 5 minutes and flip. Cook for additional 5 - 6 minutes on 350 F.
While the French toast sticks are air frying, in a small bowl combine the cinnamon and sugar. Stir well.
Once the French toast sticks are done, drizzle melted butter over them. This will help soften the gluten free bread and allow the cinnamon and sugar mixture coat better.
Add the French toast sticks to the cinnamon sugar mixture until evenly coated.
Serve warm with syrup and fruit.
Enjoy!!
